On the picture: Inside the mausoleum of Şehzade Mahmut, a son of Bayezit II. This tomb was built in 1506 by Mimar (= architect) Yakub, on demand of Mahmut’s mother Bülbul Hatun; she was later buried next to her son.
The other marble graves belong (among others) to Mahmut’s sons Orhan, Emir and Musa.
The mihrab (prayer niche) and the tiles are original (1506). The calligraphic murals are later work.
