This is a bath house at Kaplıca Caddesi, the street flanking the west side of the Muradiye complex.
On the picture: The Muradiye Hamamı (bathhouse), situated to the west of the Royal graveyard and the Muradiye Medresesi. It was built in 1426, but had to be restored several times (1523, 1634, 1742 and 2000-2009).
It is a ‘single’ bathhouse (unlike a double bathhouse, with distinct sections for men and women). This means that there are (and were) separate openings hours for men and women. The building is 12 x 25½ m large, and much higher on the north side, where the domed ‘soğukluk’ is (the cold room, for changing and resting).
