The previous pictures were taken from a hill, on top of which there is a pleasant tea garden and a clock tower.
Like many other provincial capitals, Bolu built a clock tower in the early 20th century. But it was destroyed, and the city was left without one. Only a few photographs of it, hidden in dusty archives, give testimony of its former existence. This lack was put right in 1989, on initiative of Prof. Halis DUMAN, a local civil engineer. The new clock tower being placed on a hilltop, well in sight of the city center, the location compensates its rather modest dimensions.
