Ankara 2006 09 0286.jpg

Whoever designed this deserves a price, it is funny, has great colours, and accepts graffiti in a better way than I ever saw before. I think the individual parts you will see on the next pictures have been made by kids, and they did a fine job in their turn.

This "Monument of Love" is in Hoþdere street, on the way to Atakule. I wish the engravings on it were genuine, I wish lovers and friends would come here to write their names etc. but sadly it is all predesigned (as you can see from the same handwriting being used all over the place). But perhaps this is a tribute to the Turkish tradition of engraving one's name on art pieces and ancient temples.. who knows :)
