I will probably get complaints again that the city has other architecture then these old houses (though this time I show some). My argument remains: keep them, restore them, or you'll be sorry you destroyed them (or just let them go to pieces) in future. I am not an expert and though I suppose there are all sorts of regional differences to me they are just "old houses", that give spice to the sometimes somewhat dreary modern Turkish streets.
To my delight I was later informed: "these houses were restorated and one of them is a museum, one is a restaurant that serves traditional Malatya foods, i dont know what are the others."
