I went and saw the Golden Park, which is a new leisure and cultural park near a hill that's called the Golden Hill. They had an exhibition on the Kastamonu province, and since I like that province a lot I was glad to see representatives from Kastamonu itself as well as of several localities that I know and like, amongst them Inebolu, my favorite.
These festive dresses are from the villages of the Azdavay district (other name: Çarşamba), in the Kastamonu Province. It is located about 74 km away to the northwest of Kastamonu town.
This colourful traditional costume is still very much in use today; each village woman has (at least) one, from very young age on. The costumes and the traditional dances of the Azdavay district are the most representative of the region, and therefore used by most folklorist dance groups of the Kastamonu province.
