Walking along the main street connecting the outside world with the heart of town lies the Alaettin Camii (1267; in another book 1270 is given, or Ulu Camii (Great Mosque). The first building you see to the right holds several grave monuments, but I think the one inside the wall surrounding the mosque complex is more interesting. We'll get there shortly. This is the side-entrance. Inside we turn right.
