Antioch Pisidian

A detail of decoration.

From the Western City Gate. Roman, 2nd or 3th century AD.
In fact, the block is lying upside down; if turned, one recognizes the upper half of a winged Nike (Greek goddess who personified victory).

Correspondent: J.M.Criel, Antwerpen.
