Antakya is a city where many people speak Arab, not all of them manage to write it, since only Turkish writing and language are taught. However, this may change, a sense of the value of cultural diversity is on the increase in Turkey. I hope diversity will not lead to division but will enrich daily life.
In Antakya you may find yourself sitting in a bus, everybody speaking Arabic. All of a sudden someone shouts "Ineçek var" (There's someone who wants to step off), the bus will stop, some conversation in Turkish, then on we go, in Arabic. Nice.
