This is the Syrian Orthodox Church "which is not normally open to visitors", the Lonely Planet Guide states. Well, I was in luck, they were spring-cleaning it, or for some other reason the door stood open, and in I walked. Peaceful, and slightly strange in its interior (I mainly know Catholic churches from Italy, or protestant ones from my home country, and they don't have a screen in front of the altar, as in Orthodox churches).
I could not resist, and looked behind the screen. A nice disarray of clothes and other paraphernalia, note the electric stove.
