This Ulu (or Great) Mosque was under restoration in 2002, but has been finished. This is an ornament in the ceilling. The whole neighbourhood is getting a face-lift.

This picture and the previous and / or next ones were taken in a region behind the central square, going up-hill, where the old road pattern is very outspoken and the houses have some extra charm. I also took some pictures of the market that happened to be held.
