I made a walk along a ridge overlooking Ishak Pasha complex. One walks kind of behind a wall of rocks that look as if they have been thrown on their side (there must be a geologist phrase for it), keeping to the Ararat side. The walk is strenuous but not difficult, particularly if you start at the highest peak (2700 meters or so) and then go down. You may run into shepherds who will beg for money or food.
