There had been a fire on some ship a month or so before this visit, and they had towed it to shore to better extinguish the fire or maybe salvage what was left of the ship., Whatever, it's now lying there like a stranded whale, waiting to be gutting, slowly rusting. The next visit it was still there, only eroded a bit further. In the end the famous mosques of Haghia Sophia (right) and what's called the Blue mosque (Sultan Ahmet).
