Although not as beautiful as its namesake in Edirne the Selimiye Mosque, from the back of which I took this picture, is worth a visit. It was another Selim also, by the way, this one being Selim I, the other S. 2. It's a bit farther than Fatih (from the centre of town), but it sits almost on the ridge of a hill that rolls all the way down to the Golden Horn. Very fine view there. What you see is Süleymaniye Mosque, more to the East.
