Noisy machines produce a curious, slow-flowing substance. I asked what it was and found it was made from terebinth. Wikipedia: "In Turkey, it is known as menengiç or bıttım. A coffee-like beverage, Kurdish coffee or menengiç kahvesi, is made from the roasted fruit, and a soap is made from the oil." I knew the soap well, buying it first time in Siirt, which is famous for it. I did not taste the coffee, which is stupid. Better next time. I suppose it is made using the substance I saw being produced.
