The person represented here is Zeki Müren, an extremely popular singer that I once saw perform in the Gençlik Park in Ankara. He first sang some songs in smoking or tuxedo, gradually his dress would get more colourful, in the end he sang in miniskirt dress. I was in the country when, much later, he died. It was a day of universal mourning.
