A reconstruction of the Demirci Höyük (I could not locate this, finding several of the same name on the web, texts in Turkish).
This archaeological mound is located some 25 km west of the city of Eskişehir, in the district of Çukurhisar.
The mound is not impressive (5 m high, 80 m in diameter), but the excavations (1937 and 1975-78) revealed an interesting fortified settlement from the Early Bronz Age (3rd millennium BC), with 17 stone houses placed radially around a central space.
