On some pictures one could see a lake. During my visit in 1995 a large number of dead fish was visible. Maybe the water had turned poisonous, maybe some fisherman had gotten rid of a catch that started to rot (I once, walking high above the Dardanelles, came across tons of fish that were rotting in the hot sun, some dumping ground).
