Mother of God from the upper semi-dome of the apsidal chapel.
A set of fresco's with the earliest representations of St. Franciscus in the world. He died in 1226, this was made during the Latin occupation of the city, so it is estimated to be from 1250. It was found in the Kalenderhane Mosque, a church that under Sultan Fatih Mehmet was converted into a mosque, originally the church of Teotokas (St. Mary) Kyriotissa from the late 12th century.
