Antalya Museum feb 2015 6502.jpg

Found in 1971 at the North Monumental Nymphaeum. Roman. Second century AD
Heroic statue of Emperor Hadrian in the nude (see him dressed at the sub-gallery). It was assembled from 9 fragments. Some parts are missing. He wears a paludamentum draped over his shoulder, hanging down his back, the bottom end looped over his left forearm. The statue is similar in style to a fifth century BC statue by Diomedes of a Greek warrior in the Trojan war.
