People working here told me the hotel was to have a 1000 beds (or was it rooms?). I myself was the only guest in almost all hotels (3) I was in during my 16 days in February. I like my privacy, and got it.

Shortly after I took this picture a foreman came telling the workers they should go back to work. No time for play.

They told me they were from towns such as Şanlıurfa, Erzurum, Erzincan, Muş and Van, and were delighted when I could show them pictures from their hometowns. Not many tourists make it that far to the east.
