It is rare to see work from artists from Bolu, so I was deeply humbled when I suddenly saw the name Safak appear on an age-old decoration of a church. It may be that there are at least 170 of them, hence the number.

I do not know if Erol Yerköy is from that same fine city, but to think that these artists probably made a long journey to improve on the decoration says something about the creative impulses in humankind.

To put it another way: how I despise these fools!
