I have passed the road up to the citadel many times on foot, but either overlooked what in 2014 had become visible, or it had been hidden amongst vegetation and some housing: a Roman theatre. I saw signs of it being "restored: which in Turkey may imply that in a few years a whole new "Roman Theatre" will spring up, where doubtlessly shows will be given, loud music will be played, Japanese tourists will take their pictures next to a centurion in leather armour, well, the usual.
