On the picture: The windows in the northwest corner of the building, under the porch, There are similar and symmetrical placed windows at the other end of the porch. These windows let in the light in the north corner rooms, which were part of the ‘zaviye’ (dervish lodge) and were connected to the prayer hall of the mosque by narrow L-shaped passages.
The border decoration of the lower window, with 12 cartouches filled with calligraphic inscriptions (in the corners, four of them are completely or partly gone missing) is typical of the early-Ottoman style, which combines grandeur with rigor.
