On the picture: One out of four decorated windows in the north facade. Originally all of them had calligraphic inscriptions all around, but some of these calligraphies were lost.
The Yeşil Mosque can be shown as the perfect blend between architecture and embellishment, the proof that such works of art were produced in a country where the battles between siblings (1402-1413) had come to an end and peace had returned.
