There are three graves in a row when looking down from near the church, one of them with a skull and bones.

I was with a Turkish friend who had read about there having been a pirate involved in the destruction of the church and maybe for that reason thought a pirate who had succumbed here was honoured with a pirate's flag on his grave. It gave me an interesting insight into how "iconography" influences our view of the world.
