The sarcophagus's fragment is representing the death of Hippolita, Queen of Amazons, by the hand of Achilles. The armour of Hippolita is inspired to the Roman military accoutrement in the Province. The leather armour is so detailed by the sculptor that in the corselet the leather’s folding of the muscles is clearly visible .
