Inside the partly restored fortified palace of the Pontic kings, which was transformed into a (lower) fortress by Romans, Byzantines and Turks. The latter (Seljuk, Kutluşahlar, Ottoman) rebuilt it also as a residence for the local governor. It is now called Kızlar Sarayı (Palace of the Maidens).
On the picture: A partly restored hamam (Turkish bath) from the Ottoman area.
