The recently restored walls of the inner citadel, leading up to the ‘Şark Kale’ (= Eastern Castle), a massive bastion at the junction of the inner and outer citadel. These walls are originally a Byzantine construction, 7th century. The minaret belongs to the Allaeddin Mosque, founded in the 12th century.
