This Türbe or tomb was built in the mid-15th century for Zeynel, who was the son of the Akkoyunlu governor. It has great tiles in Turquoise on the exterior. Its base has been badly restored. When I visited in September 2005 another restoration was under way, let's hope for the best. To my amazement in 2010 there was another restoration going on, this time to prepare for the move to dry ground once the Ilisu project waters start to rise. A lot of the grounds of the mosque complex to which the türbe belonged was uncovered also, that unfortunately will disappear, so I was told.
