The bathhouse conforms to the "double bathhouse" typology. It is also known as the old "New Bathhouse". Its construction began during the reign of Yıldırım Bayezid and was left unfinished due to the occupation of Bursa by the Timur army. The bathhouse was completed during the reign of Çelebi Mehmed. In 1485, Çandarlı İbrahim Paşa had a fountain built on the wall of the bathhouse. The building, which had been in disrepair for a long time, was restored between 2006-2008 as a cultural center. The bathhouse has two seminar halls, one large and one small, a foyer, a coffee hall, exhibition halls, traditional arts course and practice halls and sections where dishes from Turkish cuisine are served.
