This museum is situated in the former medrese of the Yeşil Mosque, but seems to be overlooked by most tourists, it is always very quiet. Formerly the Archaeological Museum was housed here. It has the usual mishmash of objects, but a few highlights: some of the best Iznik plates (though not in the best condition) that I know from the early blue-white period, copies of them are sold all over the country, but these are the originals. And a fine collection of Karagöz puppets grouped in scenes they played in. I use mainly pictures from a 2014 visit, but add pictures I had in the general Bursa gallery.
