The Alanya Museum has a good collection of local finds from all periods, in particular a fine collection of Roman ash chests, a superb bronze statue of Hercules, a nice but badly lit mosaic - somewhat ravaged by time – and some fine calligraphy on inscriptions, many from the Alanya Castle, all decently displayed and with good descriptions in Turkish and English. It was a pleasant surprise during a 2013 visit to the city.
I planned to add some captions later, forgot this, now am correcting this, as I have new pictures from 2015 (that do have captions).
