Lower Town seen from Escalier du Casse-Cou ("Breakneck Stairs'). Stairs here since the first French settlement in the 1600's.

We returned to this spot in the evening and ate dinner at Le Marie Clarisse, the patio tables of which are seen to the right. (See next photo.) The street in Lower Town straight ahead is Rue du Petit-Champlain. The street perpendicular to Rue du Petit-Champlain is Sous-le-Fort.
