i live on that lake during the summer-- i've never seen it like that. that's gorgeous!

This image is so surreal, it looks almost staged, or fake.... like a set for a movie. There's a lot of subtle color in the fog too... reds, golds, yellows... the sky appears murky seagreen.

Isn't it satisfying to get so much from one scene? The changing combinations of mist and rising sun provide a wonderful crop of pictures. I've waited in similar fashion over the years..sometimes in freezing cold and sometimes in pleasant summer warmth. Patience to wait combined with quick reflexes seem to garner the best shots. Now if I only had better equipment...
