My friend Tim and I get to coach a great group of young ladies from the BFA St. Albans Comets in a winter indoor softball league down in Shelburne. Familiar faces who Kate worked with when they were little and who I've coached before: Chelsea, Celsey, Eli, Caitlin, and Kathryn; a returning player who I coached for the first tiime last winter, Maria; and four new faces to winter ball, Mariah, Briana, Dani, and Sammi (who I've caught in pitching clinic). It's a fun group -- and with our styling tie-dye "BELIEVE" shirts, we at very least have already won the fashion trophy! The lighting in The Field House doesn't lend itself to photography -- plus, I'm supposed to be coaching -- but, naturally, I'll take some photos now and then to help preserve the memory of the fun we're having as we shake off some rust for what promises to be a strong season for these Comets!
