We got to enjoy a beautiful evening for ball in Berkshire as Kate's nex-gen Abi and her teammates took on Sheldon in 7-8th grade softball. Abi came out blazing -- striking out the first three batters of the game on her way to a complete game win. Sheldon played well and tied it in the top of the 7th, but Berkshire wouldn't be denied and won it on a 2-out single in the bottom of the 7th. Along the way we were treated to solid pitching on both sides, a couple nice catches, a heads-up double play, some opportunistic base running, a pair of big hits, and even a fox! Great to see a well played game at that age level -- shows the benefit of strong coaching as Coach Fugere and Coach Branon each had their teams ready to play quality ball. Bravo!!
