St. Michael's Softball Gm 1 Grove City

Delayed in JFK on the way down, the Purple Knights settled into their Florida accomodations about 3:30am and then awoke to face Grove City on their first day outdoors! MegO was up to the challenge, earning both the win and the save -- as she started and then came on in relief of the reliever to finish it out. Ashley had the big hit -- a 3-run triple to break open a tight game. Kater was 1 for 3, with a bunt single and run scored -- she started in Center and erased a runner at the plate with a cannon of a throw to Heather from the gap.

Nice start for SMC, as they start the season 1-0. Naturally, I took some pictures -- but you can tell I'm a bit rusty, too ...
