After making an express pregame equipment delivery to my lacrosse player, I parked on the north side of the field and had my second close encounter with a Killdeer. This wonderful little bird was more than willing to sacrifice herself to protect her nest, so I photographed her dance and positioned the little blue car to project her egg from unaware parkers.
