This was shot with the D300 and the 18-200 lens. Couple folks have asked about the exposure on this one to keep the moon from burning out into a solid white glowing ball. This was shot on manual, at an asa of 400, at F10, at 1/1000th of a second -- from atop the monopod to minimize camera shake. The trick is to not let the camera create an average exposure for everything it can see -- typical auto settings try and balance the dark sky and burn out the moon.

Wow, did you take this with a telescope? It looks like you can actually see the surface of the moon! Great shot!
