Canada Violet
Upon seeing all the wildflowers as shown in
"Spring arrives!" I decided to see if these were blooming yet.
This is the only the beginning of my hike. :)
...more on the way as I have time to select and process them.

Indian Strawberry
Found near the Canada Violet.

Ground Ivy, Gill over the Ground, or Creeping Charlie...
...is abundant around here.

Wild Blue Phlox, Downy Yellow Violets
...a little higher up the hill. I've never before seen Downy Yellows in this area.

Common Blue and Downy Yellow Violets, Spring Beauties
This is a wider angle shot, to show the variety at this location.
I'm about half-way to the gas well bench at this point.

Apple Blossoms
...a close-up of the free-growing Apple Tree blossoms on the gas well road. :)
This was a stretch with the B-Macro lens attached.

More Apple Blossoms
This is the only surviving Apple Tree I have found on our property.
Taken with the B-Macro.

Apple Blossoms
...a wider view from a distance and without the B-Macro attached.

The last of the Apple Blossoms...
...and after this one, on to the gas well access road.

Trillium Erectum
Found just a few feet from the Apple Tree, growing out of the side of the hill. After much research, I have finally identified this other species of Trillium we have growing here. The common name seems to be Red Trillium, this is a cream/pale yellow/white form of this species. Trillium Grandiflorum was growing directly above these two.

Greek Valerian
One of my favorites! I have only seen it growing here along the gas well road, another little patch along the Rails to Trails located about 100' below these. At first I thought they may be Jacob's Ladder, but there are differences. I took several close-ups, a few will be added to the second page.
