Sometimes I get so caught up in my work that I forget about - well, any number of things. Like whether or not I'm actually in the safest place to be. How "unsafe", after all, can you get at a pep rally? After getting literally run over by the varsity football team who were racing around a gym, holding a banner right at face level (and yeah, I got a great shot right before they plowed into and around me), you'd think I'd have learned my lesson.
This time I didn't get hit, but .. yow .. I really was too close here. This was a "skatejam" at the local park and I was so focused (no pun intended) on another kid that I didn't see this guy coming until it was almost too late to move. The shot was pure reflex.
