Wisteria May 15

Just across the Potomac in West Virginia, before reaching Harpers Ferry, is an abrupt turn off the highway. There are a lot of little roads like this, half hidden, and unnoticed as people speed by on their way from someplace to somewhere. I stopped to look at this house, several neighbors pausing in their yards to watch me rather suspiciously. I asked if it was owned and could I take a photo or two. The owner identified herself, said yes, but to be careful; they had gutted the entire thing. Looking through the windows, most broken, you get a hint of what might have been. For now, it's broken windows, dirt floor, the upper floors gone and the roof opened in many places to the sky and weather.

What a lovely find! The colour of the brickwork seems to match the Wisteria

I love your find. I love how the screen just seems to hang on and the brick formation? on that house is excellent. I lke the tones in your image, which to me emphasis the forelorness of this place. Great find, Donna.
