Marker April 16

Mt. Olivet is a very old cemetery in downtown Frederick. Francis Scott Key is buried there, among others. There is a stark contrast between the old and new sections, stretching from Section A to ZZ and then beyond into areas named for historic people - FSK, TJ (Thomas Johnson, the first governor of Maryland).
I've meant to explore it many times, but except for a funeral there last fall, there was always somewhere else I needed to be.
Perhaps it's odd. I like cemeteries; I always have. And yet ... if there was ever a marker in one for me, the only thing it would read is "she's not here."

PS - cropped, desat, a slight boost in contrast.

other sizes: small medium original auto

I still laugh about your remark on your marking " I am not here" The image is great. I love how you emphasized it with the black and white. I think it gives it an antique feel, which it should have. Great job, Donna.
