Vera January 23

V is for Vera

In the same vein as yesterday, another old family photo. This was undated, but appears to be late 1920s or early 1930s. When I first saw it, it was black and white, creased and had bad edges. I fixed those problems and then, for fun, decided to try tinting. This is my first attempt using Photoshop to 'colorize' black and white.

In other play...

You made agood job here, no doubt. It takes time and patience but the result is excellent.

Very nice job on the colorizing. However, do you notice that the photo looks like a woman wearing a wig. I don't know if that's a result of the colorization or is just the nature of the original. Maybe it's just that the focus is sharper than one would expect for an old photo. Looks like you have yet another alternative career. :)

Also -- love the other images, esp. the Downcast Eyes.

Very nice. I think you showed great restraint and used the colors to enhance the photo in a very natural way.

The colors are truly wonderful in this image and the tad of purple in the dress really sets the image of niecely as well as the hair.
