The Playground December 7

This used to be my playground
This used to be my childhood dream
This used to be the place I ran to
Whenever I was in need

There are some nice lines in there, I hope you went in closer and took advantage of the lines and curves.

The mist seems to want to close in on the playground. Swallow it up even. Gives it a very lonely edge. Good stuff, D.

I have fond memories of my backyard tree "playground". Personally, I rather like the idea that play is something that doesn't primarily happen in "designated play places". :)

It's funny, but I actually rarely see kids on this playground at all.
The closest playground to me when I was growing up was the schoolyard playground wwhich would probably be deemed too dangerous for kids by today's standards - metal slide, steep ladder to get up to the top (and yeah, kids fell off it) .. swings over first hard dirt and then stones and tall metal monkey bars. We inevitably preferred still more dangerous things, like climbing on top of garages and trying to jump to the one next door. I'm surprised we weren't all maimed.
My favorite place, though, was a huge willow tree on my grandfather's farm. He tied a rope and wooden seat swing to it. But, I'd climb up to the place where it split, knot a bunch of willow branches together and try to swing off that. Sometimes it worked; sometimes I landed on my butt. I still loved it.

The kids of today are so lucky in this aspect. My playground consisted of a big tree in the back yard when I was growing up.

This picture is very sharp. I like the form in this picture. the winding of the slide and the other forms. Great composition and angle from which you took this picture.
