Holding on December 6

The last little bit of summer green tucked in a corner of a parking lot. It made me think of strength and not giving up.

I have lived my life my way
For tonight and for today
Just the strongest hearts, they say
Always survive ...

And my life is made of sand
It flows right through my hand
Each day I make a stand
And I see it through

I've been reachin' for the light
I've been usin' up the night
And you know I'll be alright
I'll be holding on

Very nice.

I like the abstract quality to this image. One thing I noticed as well, in keeping with the theme of the photo, is that the green of the leaves is 'cold' enough to feel desaturated making this feel like a BW photo without being one.

I even like the background in this image. Brittle and volnurable, just like the green. Very nice composition Donna.

Beautiful, Donna.. just wonderful and sad.

Sometimes it takes too much effort to hold on though.. doesn't it?
