unusual

an unusual eucalypt in an unusual location
These are Rusty Gums (Angophora costata subsp costata)
Angophora are unusual eucalypts in having (small) petals - most eucalypts have a bud cap instead.
The location - Blackbraes National Park in north Queensland - is an outlier from the species' main range by a distance of 1,500 km. Goodness knows how they got there.

My first thought was like Carl's.

A lovely colorful stand of that group of outliers. Seeds unknowingly brought by migrating birds?

Interesting find. For a moment I thought a gorilla photo-bombed your shot. Now that would really be unusual!
