the attraction

This is what brings the Little Red Flying-foxes to the area, a mass-flowering (over many square kilometres) of this tree, the Inland White Mahogany (Eucalyptus mediocris).
The flying-foxes obtain nectar, and possibly pollen as well, from the flowers.
