Orange Plane

Another new species for me, the Orange Plane was fairly common in vine-thicket along the bank of the Normanby River.
The name "plane" refers to the way they hold their wings stiff and flat whilst gliding - inbetween brief flaps for momentum.
Those luminous blue eyes are real and not an artefact of a flash.
